Emily Weddings!

Hello all! I know I revealed a little while ago that I have some new opportunities in the mix and I am very happy and excited to tell you today that I’ve been asked to be a part of the Emily Weddings team! Emily, wedding planner extraordinaire, is the most well-known and well-loved wedding coordinator in the area and I am so honored to be able to work with her.  Emily Weddings has been published on The Knot and Style Me Pretty, was also chosen as The Knot’s “Best of Weddings” pick in 2010 and 2011 and received the Bride’s Choice Award in 2009, 2010, and 2011 on WeddingWire. She rocks, for real.

This post is coming now because last night was my first event with Emily and it was so wonderful to be a part of her amazing team.  I am really looking forward to what I will learn from her and also from the other ladies on her team, and at the same time have so many opportunities to attend weddings with new venues, new vendors, and so many great new ideas!

So what does this mean for MeghanBlair Weddings? Well, I really spent a lot of time thinking about this decision.  I became a wedding planner because I love to plan and coordinate weddings, taking care of all the details and watching the happy couple during their first dance. I love to spend my Saturdays on Etsy and wedding blogs looking around for the best wedding items and ideas.  And I absolutely LOVE to help brides make their day exactly what they always dreamed of.  And becoming part of the Emily Weddings team allows me to do just that!

So I will still keep blogging about my favorite etsy pages, inspiration boards, DIY ideas, etc. etc. etc. and keep my facebook page updated with Orchestrated photo shoot information and photos (I’m definitely still doing our shoots!) And what about coordinating weddings?  Well, if you’re getting married in the VB, Norfolk, or Chesapeake area you can book through Emily Weddings and I may be able to serve as your lead coordinator with the added bonus of having the team offering extra help on the day of your wedding.  Are you getting married outside of the area?  With Emily’s approval of course, you will hopefully be able to book directly through MeghanBlair Weddings and I will be with you every step of the way.  Emily and I are still working out the details of all this as it’s a new adventure for me so some of the specifics may change along the way as I’m try to make sure that I stay true to her business throughout the process.

I am so thankful and appreciative that Emily has offered me this opportunity and I am THRILLED to walk through this open door and be a part of the team.
