Ribbons Galore

I’m currently helping to style a wedding with a very fun and vintage theme and came across this hallway of ribbons on the Sweet & Saucy blog.  While hundreds of yards of ribbon can add up to quite some cash, you could also buy yards of fabric in various colors/patterns and cut or rip them into small strands to make this same effect.  Either way, the outcome is amazing and turns this very plain hallway into a beautiful entryway.

Paper Boutonniere

Who says you have to use a rose of cala lily for your boutonnieres?  Check out these unique creations:

Scott wore a thistle boutonniere for a rustic look that kept with the wedding’s dominant blue color.

Ngoc and her sister made the boutonnieres themselves out of peacock feathers, copper wire, a small charm, and fabric leftover from Christmas decorations. And because fresh flowers weren’t involved, they were able to make the boutonnieres months in advance...

Instead of a traditional flower, a bold succulent decorated the groom‘s lapel. Grape hyacinths completed the look, a fitting complement to the vineyard venue.

Brian wore a fun floral and critter–themed tie by Deadly Squire, as well as a boutonniere of echivera and fiddlehead ferns tied with raffia.

Joey‘s colorful tie and boutonniere, made of spray roses and succulents, popped against his taupe suit and perfectly matched the orange-and-green color scheme.

Jen made all the boutonnieres out of fabric and ribbon. She’s super-crafty, so it took her only about two and a half hours total.

Alex matched Erin’s flowers with orange and red dahlias, accented with seeded eucalyptus and a magnolia leaf with its underside exposed.

To go with his white tuxedo jacket, Michael wore a boutonniere of white stars of Bethlehem, pale pink astilbe, seeded eucalyptus and a green fiddlehead, all wrapped together with pale green ribbon.

Jenn and Brad didn’t want the usual fall palette for their autumn wedding. When their florist suggested yellow as an accent to the deep purple and chocolate brown they were already using, they “loved the combination.” One place the yellow craspedia provid...

The groom wore a shell filled with Vanda orchids backed for a fresh look that fit the wedding‘s casual vibe.

Colorful Programs

Who said all of your programs had to be identical?  This bride printed her programs on a variety of graphic, geometric, and floral papers to set the mood for her eclectic DIY wedding.
